Niviblium is an aquascaping studio that sells the parts. We build landscapes for clients, then source the same stone, wood and plants for people building their own.
Why we started
We began in a two-car garage with a pile of seiryu stone and one very patient landlord. Every client tank needed hardscape that was already interesting — stone with a face, wood with a direction — and almost everything sold online arrived as anonymous rubble in a plastic bag. So we started buying by the pallet, sorting it by hand, and photographing each lot under the same light.
How we choose hardscape
Stone is graded on three things: grain, weight and how it sits. A good iwagumi stone has one dominant face and enough mass low down that it does not need to lean on anything. Wood needs a flow — a trunk line that reads from the front glass. Roughly one piece in five makes the cut. The rest goes to our own grow-out tanks or back to the quarry.
Plants, honestly described
Everything in the plant section is either tissue-cultured in a sterile lab or grown emersed in our own nursery. That means no hitchhiking snails, no algae spores and no copper. We describe light and CO₂ requirements the way we would describe them to a client, not the way a wholesaler describes them to a retailer.
What we are not
We are not a drop-shipper and we do not sell white-label kits under a house brand. If we have not used a product in a client build, we do not list it.
